Exports Up.
Increased
marketing efforts in key areas have netted Propac increased volume
in export sales. Currently, export sales make up 38% of total
revenue but this is set to increase dramatically in the coming 12
months. June will see the first Propac Horizontal Form Fill Seal
machine delivered into Italy. " It is ironic ", said
Technical Director Craig Pullen, " a major share of the
worlds Horizontal Form Fill Seal machines are manufactured in
Italy" It shows that Propac offer machines that give End
Users more options.
Other recent European orders
include an order for the monstrous AV-4-CB, a continuous motion
machine for gusseted bags up to 25kg, and an order for an
AV-3.2-CB, this continuous motion machine will be producing Edge
Seal Stand Up Bags with Reclosable Zipper. This pack features the
absence of the traditional back seal down the center of the rear
panel of the bag, instead the film join is incorporated into one
of the edge seals.
With Propac exhibiting at this
years PackExpo (PMMI) in Chicago, expectations are high for
increased export growth. Propac machines are extremely attractive
in foreign markets due to their standard features, flexibility,
build quality and the vast application experience that Propac has
to offer. " The likelihood of coming up against an
application that we haven't had experience with is remote"
said Sales Manager Craig Lindsell.
The inherent reliability of Propac
machines, the fact that they utilise a high proportion of standard
off the shelf componentry and the option of an onboard modem make
Propac machines easy to support in even the most remote locations.
Installations in Fiji, Samoa and New Guinea are testament to this.
However, support is never too far away from our network or
Representatives and Associated companies.
